Re-entry to Webservices

Web services is one illusive area for me. Some how it comes & falls in my way every now & then. I try to push it away by doing just what is required. Being in the manageability layer, i guess its inevitable to work with them. As you grow up, you see more of them.

Today was pretty productive. I can say this because, I gave a little time for myself. tried few sample Web services. wrote a small program (interface & a class with some method), wrote a cmd file to convert this to .wsdl file, java2wsdl. After converting generated some stubs, skeleton & impls using wsdl2java, again wrote a sample .cmd for this.

Also did customised eclipse install, download of all jars, JDK, JRE setup, JWSDP etc etc... all from scratch. It all looked like some college lab activity but felt good. Its been a long time since I tried something new. Its always fun to learn.

New life, Soo many changes, What next?

Dec 02'2009 : Started my new life, this time not as a loner but with a sweet woman in my life - NAINA. Yes, we got married on this beautiful day.

Dec 12'2009 : Shifted house to Sobha IRIS, rented again but very nice place to stay.

Dec 14'2009 : Resigned from HP, aft working for 3.5 yrs.

Dec 18'2009 : Honey moon trip to Andamans

Dec 30'2009 : First b'day aft marriage, birthday to remember for a long time, I received biggest greeting of my life. Cake cutting, aarti etc etc... all @ home.

Jan 01'2010 : Entered new year as a married person also with one gray hair :(

Jan 12'2010 : Last day in HP

Jan 18'2010 : First day @ Cisco, Cisco after Cost cut = HP b4 cost cut.

Not to forget, Completed dissertation submission on Nov 14'2009.

In less than 2 month, Job, Address, Marital status, Phone number, all changed, basically I felt like my identity itself was changed.

So, What now.... This is my problem since my birth. I somehow keep my life rotating around the changes. I don't know why but i keep on thinking "what next?" even before something is materialized. But this time, I guess I got a solid platform to actually en-cash upon.

how should I proceed ahead from here. what is that i need to do to be successful? in fact this is the time to define success, define where I want to head to? Think & define next big thing. Will that be job? education? home? Travel? What is it? Ya, I am still thinking on them.

Is there something common across these things, which I can build upon till i finalize on these? Is something which if focused right in next 6 months will give me better results in any of the goals pursued later? Which can help me to do work balance now also. Which can have entertainment value also?

I have a long term plan of doing MBA & I will do it. My aim is to get a GMAT score of 700+ by end of 2010. As i am new new job, It needs loads of focus on Job, as it is a total new domain altogether. I am new to the environment & I have to adopt to this asap. I keep investing in market & i need accelerate that asap. As my wife is working, i also need to think of multiple ways of saying. I should also be prepared if my wife goes on-site. I also need to have enough credibility to find job anywhere on earth.

These are the goals which might need focus. Now think of the tools to achieve any of these.
First things first : Focus on job (8 hrs office + 2 hours study), no compromise on that.
Next : I need to improve my language, vocabulary & writing skills. Watch movies/series any of them, Combine them with reading the books (2 hrs a day).
Combine writing/blogging about anything atleast post twice a week & updating myself with current events/market knowledge, in general keep growing GK.

I guess this plan sounds simple & implementable. Most difficult part is implementation. Lets see how things go from here. For now bye from the Traveler, you will keep seeing frequent updates now on.

Life is a travel to unknown destination, Make the travel beatiful so that you have no regrets when you reach destination.

Rocks really Rock in Antaraganga a.k.a Dakshina Kashi (also Koti-lingeswara trip)

We started towards Kolar by 6:30am, Route was, B'lore --> KRPuram -->Through Hoskote--> -->NH4-->Kolar, From Kolar bustop take left (Dont forget to have food in Kolar) -->Antaragange (a.k.a DakshinaKashi)

There are steps which take you to Vishwanath temple, but we tried our own way through the Mighty hill of majestic rocks. Route was little risky but Wat's the fun in life without risk.....
It was nice small trek, not very tiresome. Nicely arraigned rocks on each other are real eye candy. Another proof for Mans architecture can never match natures creativity.

We climbed down to Vishwanath temple & Antaraganga. Antaraganga is the water flowing continuously from Nandi's mouth 24/7, all throughout the generations. Local people told, they never saw, the water drain stopped. Also, no one knows abt the source of the water. We took bath in the shower of that cool water n took darshan, played with the monkeys.

KOTI-LINGESHWARA trip....

It was lil more than 1:00pm when we came down. Had enough time to kill through the day, n decided to go to Kotilinga near KGF. It is around 30KM from Kolar, good place with over ONE CRORE shiv linga's. Nice place to take your parents n Grand parents. Also 108ft big Shivlinga was center of attraction.

Skandagiri (place above the clouds)

It was Thursday, was rearranging the mail box & suddenly saw an old mail (forward). Thought of doing some adventure & forwarded to friends, few brave guys (like me... of course) responded. As usual no plan is the best plan (my strategy for effective planning), Me, Kumar, Prabhakar, Ishwar & Chamnesh, packed some food, took a torch & few bed sheets, took our bikes (mine Honda Unicorn, Yamaha RX135 of Kumar & Ishwar's passion) & started from Bangalore towards NH7 at around 8:00pm.

It was totally drizzling all the way; it was my first long drive during night, so resisted the temptation of breezing ahead & just kept on following the reflector of Kumar & Ishwar till we reached kalavarahalli by 11:30pm. Parked bikes, took rest in front of Omkara Jyoti Ashram, hired a guide & started to trek by 12:00 midnight.

We didn’t even need a torch; moonlight getting reflected over the rocks was really awesome. Drizzling rain made it a lil complex but more rememberable trek. By 2:30 am we were at the top of the hill (1750 mts) & in the clouds, totally worn-out & badly in need of sleep. We couldn’t sleep outside b'coz of strong chill breezes, rain, fog & cold. Nothing was visible after couple of steps. Couldn’t even find dry woods to lit camp fire & had no tents & hence slept in the temple for around 2 & 1/2 hrs...
It was 5:30 AM, felt water falling over my head that made me wake up. Ohhhh boy, never experienced that coldness of whether & never want to experience also. We started climbing down by 9:00 am after some timepass (others we aramse coming up at that time). Came down taking the pics & climbing all possible rocks.

Climbed down the hill by 12:30PM, started riding back from Nature's architecture to manmade concreet jungle. This time, I couldn't resist the temptation of flying my unicorn & raced back to bangalore covering almost 45kms till hebbal in 30 mins & just another15 kms till Indiranagar in another 1hr. This clearly shows the significant change inside & outside the cities....

Came back to noisy, polluted yet breadearner city Bangalore by 3:00 pm on Sat...
